Use the forecast as a planning aid

1. What Pool Forecast provides

Pool Forecast estimates outdoor residential pool-water temperatures from information you enter, weather data, physical modeling, and optional temperature history or compatible sensor readings. It may label results as estimates, calibrated forecasts, or validated forecasts, but no label guarantees accuracy or fitness for a particular use.

The application is intended for open outdoor residential pools. Unsupported configurations, incomplete data, sensor failures, changing shade, unusual equipment, weather-provider errors, or other conditions may reduce accuracy.

2. Safety and your responsibilities

• Do not rely on Pool Forecast for life safety, swimmer supervision, severe-weather warnings, freeze protection, water quality, chemical treatment, equipment protection, or regulatory compliance.
• Confirm water temperature and current conditions with suitable instruments and authoritative weather or safety sources.
• Follow equipment manuals, manufacturer limits, local rules, and advice from qualified pool, electrical, gas, and safety professionals.
• You are responsible for the information you enter, your decisions, and the operation and maintenance of your pool and equipment.

3. Permitted use

Robert Soliday grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the publicly hosted application for its intended personal or internal business purpose, subject to these terms.

You may not misuse the service; interfere with its operation; attempt unauthorized access; use automated traffic that burdens the service; or copy, modify, republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense, host, or create derivative works from proprietary Pool Forecast materials except with prior written permission or as applicable law expressly allows.

4. Your information

You retain ownership of information you enter. You authorize the application to process that information as needed to provide the functions you request. Pool profiles, readings, forecasts, imported CSV data, and Govee credentials are designed to remain in your browser except for the limited transmissions described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for safeguarding API keys and for having the right to use any information you provide.

5. Third-party services

Pool Forecast uses or links to independent services such as Open-Meteo, Govee, Stripe, and the site's hosting infrastructure. Those services may be unavailable, change, or apply their own terms and privacy practices. Robert Soliday does not control or guarantee third-party services, data, devices, or payment systems.

6. Optional financial support

Pool Forecast remains free. One-time and monthly support payments are voluntary, do not unlock features, and cannot influence forecast results, integrations, or recommendations. They are support for software already provided, not charitable or tax-deductible donations. Stripe processes payments under its own terms. Monthly support may be managed or canceled through the linked Stripe customer portal.

7. Ownership

Pool Forecast's proprietary source code, original content, and original design materials are owned by Robert Soliday and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The application is not offered under an open-source license. Third-party materials remain subject to their respective rights and licenses. See the Copyright page.

8. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pool Forecast is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or any other kind. No forecast, message, or project update creates a warranty.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Robert Soliday will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data or profits, energy costs, missed swimming opportunities, or damage to pools, covers, heaters, sensors, or other equipment arising from Pool Forecast or a third-party service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, aggregate liability for all claims relating to Pool Forecast will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the support payments you made during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not exclude liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.

10. Changes and availability

Features, integrations, forecasts, and these terms may change, and the application may be suspended or discontinued. Material changes to these terms will be reflected by a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
